I took this photo through the window on Saturday evening.
We had an early birthday party for Max & it was the last night together before they flew home to NZ.
We made paper chains, put balloons up & lit the Christmas lights.
The decorations are still up in the kitchen, I haven't the heart to take them down yet.
Three good things:
1. My cinema friend is back from Russia so we went out for lunch & saw the film Dunkirk.
2. After a glass of wine at lunchtime we both fell asleep before the film but woke up in time to watch it!
3. Cathy has done my feet tonight.
Ooh I do like to look into houses when their curtains are open an they have the lights on -- no !! I do not consider myself nosey but interested in people's lives !! What a lovely way to entertain on the last night ! ,did the boys do the paper chains ? I am sure the balloon blowing was left to the adults !
What a festive scene. How lovely to celebrate the birthday before they fly away. You will miss them I'm sure. It is tough when family live so far away. thank goodness for FaceTime though.
The noise of Dunkirk would be enough to wake you ... Farmer G and I went to see it and I spent half the time jumping in fright ... I was waiting for the guy next to me to say 'For heavens sake sit still'.... very well done but quite upsetting ...
@julzmaioro I agree Julz, but a friend had warned me to take out my hearing aids! I didn't but it was loud that first ine especially. I was slightly disappointed after all the hype though, where were all the troups on the beach, there were supposed to be thousands & I wish they had made more of the little biats coming in, they were rather thin on the ground, otherwise it really portrayed the horror of it all.
@quietpurplehaze been to Barton Grange for bacon thus afternoon, the Christmas cards were out!! Every year on the 1st August they are there & peole buy!
Looks fabulous and I can quite understand not taking them down yet!
Smiled at your falling asleep comment....i did at cinema on Friday.....just for a minute I think but felt longer
Love feet pampering 😊😊
what a lovely warm party scene Pat. Feel like I am there peeping through your window. Glad you have had such a lovely family time together. I suppose you will be down to see them again before too long

Thank you all, while the decorations are still up I can pretend they are only out for the day instead of back home over 12000 miles away.
Amazing! (I don't buy them any more!)
