We have had lots going on all day here!
Dorothy's thatchers came back to finish off her roof.
We have had the Blackpool airshow going on seven miles away so planes around all day. A Lancaster Bomber & Spitfire went over yesterday but I missed them.
We had the Red Arrows too, lots of red & blue vapour trails.
Tonight we had a fire engine down the lane, I have no idea why but they called at the house next door then went to check the water hydrant so perhaps a training exercise, we never saw any smoke.
Not easy coming down our lane as everything including dustbins, any large vehicle all have to back out as there is no turning round space.
Three good things:
1. Must say I am relieved they checked the water hydrant as we were only wondering if it still worked last week.
2. Lydia came for her tea.
3. Maxi is seven today, we Skyped this morning to wish him a happy birthday.
@dide Yes they have tidied it up Dianne, I think they reckon every 30 years but she has certainly had it fixed in the last five years I know. I think it needs raking & patching up. She has had it for sale & there was a buyer but he backed out as the insurance for the thatch was so high!
