A treat tonight as we decided at the last minute to go out for our evening meal. A quick ring to our local pub & off we went.
Steak for me & chicken for Harry, his had some rather strange nettle & potato coquettes with it, he liked them!
The Cartford Inn is a great place to eat, very quirky & welcoming, chatted to some neighbours as we came out.
Bad at commenting last night sorry, I was too tired!
Three good things:
1. The lovely sound of wild geese flying over, I keep missing them with my camera!
2. Watching life by the river go by as we sat at our table tonight. Ducks, canoeists, & walkers all passed our window.
3. Very sticky plasters for blisters.
@maggiemae no we drove maggie, I did sugest we walk but Harry had already done about four miles in the morning, so we were lazy. Plasters to cover my sore toe where the corn was.
An impromptu meal out is just what the doctor ordered sometimes. We did the same last Tuesday. It was a great end to a stressful day, no washing up either.
Interesting menu...haven't tried using/choosing nettles yet!
