TOTI or Taste Of The Inn giving it its proper name is the lovely little delicatessen belonging to The Cartford Inn. All sorts of goodies in this shop but Harry & I called in for two TOTI buns for a treat.
We ate them with relish!
I will tempt you on the extras page!
If you look carefully you can see the beautiful glass mushrooms on the top of the counter. Every table in the Cartford has one of these mushrooms displayed, Harry bought me one for my birthday this year.
Made by the clever John Ditchfield who's glass blowing place is only a mile away from us.
Three good things:
1. I love custard & the TOTI custard is the best!
2. Visited our friend & daughters FIL in hospital this afternoon, he was quite cheerful considering!
3. Thick socks tonight keeping my bare feet warm on this damp rainy evening.
What a charming little shop , and it sounds that their Toti buns are delicious ! What a change in weather quite cold and wet today -- had the fire on for a while this afternoon while I snoozed !!
What a lovely place to go. The glass mushrooms are so cute - can you visit the glass blower to see him at work? It is so fascinating to watch. Saw the image of the buns - they look delicious!
It would be lovely to have a collection of those mushrooms! Probably quite expensive. Too much temptation here.... I would have to walk past with my head in the air!
Beautiful English charm from yester year captured here. I can feel the warmth of the welcome here and I'd find that glass display case very difficult to pass.
You will have to take a photo of your mushroom, they are gorgeous.
