I had the chance of a bit of bartering this morning!
This local Gin company have been promoting their gin all around the local pubs over this weekend.
I had part of the team booked in for B&B last night & was offered the chance of payment in gin
...I took it!
Two lovely shire horses pulling a brewery cart full of barrels, it looked impressive as they toured the villages.
I think I got a bargain for the price of one B&B guest!
The gin is made by an old farming acquaintance who has exchanged cows for gin making!
Three good things:
1. We have had a very lazy afternoon after three busy days!
2. Learning all about gin & the amazing flavours available.
3. We saw a mum & two baby deer at the side of the maize field this morning.
A super bit of bartering Pat and now I see why you are posting a tad earlier than usual -- are you in for a tasting session ? ha ha ! Having a lazy afternoon here too till the pharmacy woke me up with a phone call to see when would I like my flue jab !!!!
@beryl They rang on a Sunday, your pharmacy sounds very on the ball! I had mine yesterday & have felt no side effects! Had to put the gin photo up again as I haven't much else today except fillers! I like your theory of a big tasting session! 😀
You have to look carefully at these bottles and realise its called "Black Powder' and not... (Black Power- a NZ gang name)! Happy tasting - I'm sure you will be happy after tasting all three of these!
@maggiemae I had the gooseberry tonight, it was good but I think I prefer the Rhubarb. I am wondering because I have so much Gin, will I drink it quicker?
