Sparkles

Sorry I have been very absent over the last week or so on 365.
Too busy going out & about with family & friends plus busy with B&B.
All is quiet now so I should be a bit more attentive!

On Monday we went out for a meal at the Barn at Scorton, all dolled up for Christmas!

Three good things:
1. Murder on the Orient Express today, we got ticked off for talking!
2. All the ironing done after I came home!
3. Finishing off the bottle of wine with our lamb Henry tonight.
Bep
A lovely place to have a lunch.

Interesting place with plenty of room for the Christmas decor as well as people! Who on earth would tell you off in the movie - your next door neighbours? Don't know Lamb Henry - hope its not the name of a pet!

@maggiemae a man in the row in front of us, not right in front but about two seats along asked us to be quiet please! He didn't even wait for the film to start, as if we would talk when the film was on!!! Lamb Henry us a very popular dish in the UK - a lamb shank with mint sauce dressing. A long slow cook in the oven until the meat drops off! Delicious!

Looking forward to seein the Orient Express as well .. note to self ... do not chatter ... Looks a lovely place to have a meal.. I was worried that you were eating your pet as well .. Something we have to do on the farm at times .. but don't name him once he/she get to the cooking stage.. lol...

Rather a festive look , but the opulence of the chandeliers don't somehow go with the more rustic wood cladded ceiling and beams ! Ooh dear to be told off in the cinema surely made you feel like naughty school girls !!! -- but silly old man , before the film started !! I have never heard Lamb Shank in a mint sauce gravy called Lamb Henry before (or is it your name for it !! ) -- but I love a lamb Shank cooked like this -- makes my mouth water even thinking of it !!

Nice image though

Festive indeed, but i agree with @beryl that the chandeliers don't go with the rustic decor.

@julzmaioro Ha ha Julz, Lamb Henry must be just a British thing then, thought everyone knew what it was! Great acting big a bit confusing trying to follow all the clues! That train journey looked terrifying just the remoteness & track alone!

@beryl You surprise me Beryl, perhaps it's a Lancashire thing but they call it on menues here so a very common dish to eat. Lamb & mint sauce..yummy! I agree with your thoughts on the chandeliers, that is something I thought didn't fit somehow! This us only half of the size of the place too! The second time I have been told off in the cinema, we must be very badly behaved! I said to Dot when it had finished just sit until he's gone but when the lights went up there was no sign of him! We were laughing so much as we went out saying he must have been scared of what we would say!

@happypat We loved this dish s served in a Pub restaurant when we travelled through Bettws-y-coed and if I remember correctly on their menu it was simply "Welsh Lamb shank in mint jus " but Pat there is something new to learn each day -- must google it !!

Very elaborate chandeliers. Our shopping centres are all set up for Christmas here and even Santa's grotto is set up. Too early for kids to be visiting Santa I think.

Looks s huge place. Being called The Barn doesn’t lead one to think of chandeliers. You better go in disguise next time you go to the movies. Hadn’t heard of lamb Henry either. Funny how lamb shank, bacon hock and pork belly have become expensive cuts now they are trendy.
