That time of the year again! by happypat

That time of the year again!

A chore I usually put off to the very last minute but this afternoon I have cracked it!
I wrote 69 Christmas cards so a job well done. I ran out of cards so a few more to buy but I feel pleased with myself.
I keep saying I'll stop sending them but I do like receiving so you can't have it both ways!
The job seemed to go much easier this year, perhaps because less pressure to get them written.

Three good things:
1. An afternoon well spent!
2. Staying out of the wind & rain.
3. Lydia has just enjoyed a wonderful few days in Rome. Travel while you're young is a fantastic thing.
Good for you in this day and age

Well done, Pat. My Christmas card list is even longer than yours, I guess, but I like writing them every year and of course I do love receiving lots of colourful cards.

It's good to know I'm not the only one writing cards! Some of my friends have given up but I still like to send them I must admit. About ten more to get then I'm done! I'm doing pretty well this year! Thank you for your lovely words re kitchen , I was quite cosy!

A comfortable room and beautifully lit. Nice place to sit and do cards. I find I can never just say "Happy Christmas' and nothing else - tend to write and write more and then only get about 4 done instead of 15! Can't believe you do 69!

@maggiemae Ha ha maggie, I have had this conversation exactly this morning with my sister in law. Just saying I write far too much inside the cards but this year for most I have tried to put just 'love from Harry & Pat'. Of course I have to write more in some but definitely cut down this year!
