Festive workhorse

A cleaning day today!
Got stuck in changing beds, cleaning bathrooms, washing etc. Unfortunately a dark wet day so my trusty Aga is doing a great job of drying the clothes.

Three good things:
1. I cleaned the downstairs shower ceiling with bleach, our extractor fan is not working that well so a bit of mold on the ceiling! It's amazing what a difference a cloth & some bleach makes!
2. It's the shortest day today, Spring is round the corner ha ha!
3. Lydia coming for her tea.
It's very satisfying when you do these cleaning jobs .. and then you wonder why you didn't do it sooner., must be lovely having the Age to keep thing cosy..
Longest day for us...

A cosy image. Our days are nice and long and hot. Seems silly making plum pudding in this weather, but I made 5 yesterday. 1 gluten free (turned out ok) and some to give away to our neighbours. Across the road are two 94 year olds so I make a big one so they have it for family.

I love the homely cosiness of your Kitchen Pat -- the Aga is such a wonderful old friend not only for cooking but also for drying clothes ! It sounds as if you have been very busy - everything will be spick and span for CHRISTMAS !

What a busy time you are having. Today is the first day I have had free all month and I have to admit that apart from doing the ironing I have had a very lazy day.

@onewing Sounds busy but not that busy Babs. No B&Bers in to speak of & only me & Harry in house. Family coming for Christmas but we will all muck in!
