My three B&Bers at breakfast this morning!
Colin with his back to us is my regular guy who comes on a Monday & goes home on Thursday has been with us for two years now. He lives in Scotland & is the tidiest B&B I have ever had.
Andy on left & Martin facing work for the same firm but separately, each traveling all over the world for the company. They each come & stay approx every two weeks for a couple of nights. They have got to know each other quite well over the months so today there was lots of chat.
I took this crafty photo as they were eating.
I must say at my time of life this type of B&B is perfect as they have breakfast early & are out all day! I find it's the holiday makers that are much more work.
Three good things:
1. A long talk to my sister, they are snowed in where she lives in Norfolk.
2. I gave given the downstairs shower room a real good deep down clean.
3. Only light showers of snow so far!
What a cozy shot! So strange that you are starting to get winter weather when we are well into spring at the moment - and I am not complaining!!
It is far too early for spring here so I am expecting another blast of winter yet.
This does look cosy but the thought of getting up early and cooking breakfasts now gives me the heebie jeebies. I can’t believe I did it for 18 years. I’ve adapted to retirement very well 😁😁.
Such a cosy scene with your men tucking into a proper English breakfast , I am sure ! Such a warm glow with the light reflecting on your red wall and I love your beams !
@susiemc I thought you would count your blessings of retirement Sue. To be honest I love the B&B's coming to stay, we meet such interesting people. Not to keen on wedding guests staying but the rest of them I still get a kick out of doing B&B, I do like it quieter in the winter though, I love a lie in!
Looks like you have a full house, Pat! All the better that they are good folks that you enjoy.
Hope that springtime is right around the corner for you.
@sarah19 Yes I love that they aren't strangers & feel at home. Andy has just been back actually & collected his stuff. He lives in the Cotswolds so wanted to get back before the next snowfall.
Is the downstairs shower room used by you or the B&B's? Early breakfast means early rising for you! Don't know how you do it! Love to see the tea cosy on the table!
@maggiemae just by us Maggie, we have four bathrooms but the others go with the three B&B rooms. I never noticed the teapot but I see it now, well spotted! One had coffee, two tea!
@filsie65@essiesue@louannwarren Thank you very much & yes they do become part of the family but we don't need to see the guests if we don't want as they come in & bypass our area so I don't see them come & go.
@peggysirk Thank you Peggy, I suppose to anyone else it would be unacceptable to have strangers in the house but without question over the last 25 years I can count on one hand the awkward ones. We have made really good friends with many over the years & so many come back again & again. The really ready for Spring now though!
@pennyrae@chris17 Thank you both, I do try & they are all very nice, if I didn't likevthese longer term stayers I wouldn't have them! A few years ago I had one that irritated me to death, I passed him onto someone else nearer his work!
we keep having snow showers quite blowy too. so drifting a bit
