Lambs are beginning to appear in the fields around us. I saw the first lambs in January but every time I saw any I was always in a bad place to take a photo.
Today on the way home from Longridge we took a slight detour to quieter roads & I got this photo.
The lamb was sitting with its mum but got up & gave a big stretch when we stopped the car & I got out.
I think I should have lightened this photo a bit more but I can't be bothered to write all the words out again! Better enlarged.
Three good things:
1. Hot chocolate!
2. A lovely young farmer from Edinburgh staying over for two nights. He us on a course at the local agriculture college! A real dish he is too!
3. Watching the skill of a perfectly trained sheep dog!
A great find - so lovely to see him giving that big stretch ! it looks as if he is going to give his mum a head-but at any moment ! Harry had better keep an eye on you with these dishy young men staying under your roof !! lol !
Just came to my mind - how is your sister coming along after her fall ( was it wrist or ankle ? ) Hope she is improving !
sounds like a good day...think that was missing from my day today, Hot Chocolate! Cool Spring lamb! I LOVE watching well trained sheepdogs...they are fabby
@alinz@sarah19@julzmaioro@beryl I shall do my best in the morning to take photo of said young man!! My sister is doing OK thank you Beryl, I must ring her tomorrow & catch up, she's had her wrist wired up, no plaster yet, it. Sounds a long job, but it's less painful now.
@huvesaker@brennieb Ha ha yes three very good things soeciall the hot chocolate! Far too hang carbs today though I feel stuffed tonight! I have eaten porridge, toast, toasted tea cake & the pizza tonight...not a very varied diet today!
Are you sure this is not a dog in sheep's clothing? Never seen a lamb stretch like a dog! We can enjoy a handsome man's company - a bit like John always wanting an 'upstairs maid'!
Just came to my mind - how is your sister coming along after her fall ( was it wrist or ankle ? ) Hope she is improving !
Haven't seen any lambs here yet but there must be some!
