I was doing the beds this morning so took a shot of the view from the upstairs landing window.
You can see Harry watching the men draining the fields.
You can see our hen cabin, the green long field is where Harry uses the tractor to mow & the big garage & shed where we keep the cars & out of sight the other end with tractor & all gardening stuff.
The rest of the fields are part of where we used to farm when we were milking.
The chap we originally sold it to was a rubbish farmer who didn't take care of the land so the new owner is repairing drains, putting slurry on & generally getting back to normal. The next job will be ploughing. You can see how much rain we have had over the last few weeks by the water still standing.
Just waiting now for a bit of warm weather & sunshine. Posting early today as I have to go out at 4.30pm for the evening.
Three good things:
1. Contract cleaners next door in our soon to be vacant rented property! I thought I might get lumbered! 😨
2. Spectacle cords for keeping my too loose glasses from falling off my face every time I bend my head!
3. I was crafty & didn't listen to a phone call trying to pretend they were our electricity suppliers & to renew our contract. They tagged another name on the front of our suppliers. 😱 I was too sharp for them & asked for our account number she said she would get it & never came back! 🤓
How glorious to have such a wonderful view from your bedroom window and see all this lovely land . Harry keeping his eyes on things while the washing is drying beautifully in the breeze ! Nice to see a line-full of white wash , - a rarity these days ! I have no more spam calls as I am now on an a system by Talk talk to prevent these to come through -- a nuisance at first as I had to authorise any unknown number before they were allowed through ! so all in all a much more peace from unwanted calls ! Enjoy your evening out !
@beryl Thanks Beryl. I would love to go on a spam blocking thing but daren't because of B&B. I am crafty though as you can sometimes tell by the caller display. If it's international wch a lot of them are I don't answer. Not so good at certain times of the day as it could be NZ of course. Sometimes you can see the Lake District mountains in the distance & the long green line just a through the middle of the tree is the River Wyre.
Wonderful view Pat and great to see that washing blowing in the breeze. I have a BT phone that you can block spam calls on. It wouldn't affect your B&B as you black the number after they have spoken to you so you know it was definitely spam.
What a beautiful view. Thank you for explaining the scene, your property is lovely. I consider the unwanted phone calls as harassment. If we don’t recognize the name we don’t answer. Of course we don’t own a B&B! Smile.
Good to hear that the new Farmer is getting things back on track.. must of new hard for Harry to see things slipping..
Those bogus phone calls are getting all to regular .. you do wonder how often they catch people out..
What a pleasant/homey view. It is fun to see and hear how the lives of others are lived. Because of the rain, all of our farmland is currently underwater because it is located in the river bottoms.
Look how neat and tidy your place is seen from above! That lawn is pristine! I wonder who is going to rent your apartment next - it would be much admired, I'm sure. Never had one of these scam calls. The landline hardly ever rings and John has his mobile sound turned off all the time so who knows!
Lovely shot of where you live. The nuisance calls are a bit of a pain. We are on a no call register, but they still manage to get through sometimes because they hack into legit numbers. We do have a bit of fun with them sometimes though and string them along just the same as they are stringing us along. In the end they hang up in disgust at our games. For some reason they don't like it when you play them at their own game.

Smart lady noticing and outwitting the nuisance caller.
