I popped into our daughters house this afternoon to spend a little bit of time with Gus. He's only very small & they were a bit worried about leaving him all day without any company.
He was very pleased to see me & we had a little play & a spot of something to eat.
All on my own so was somewhat surprised when I got a message from Jack saying he had seen me on the floor playing with Gus.
There is a camera set up so that Jack can be part of family life while he is in Japan. They seem to have a chat most nights so he switched on the camera to see how Gus was doing on his own & saw me.
I said it was a good job he didn't speak to me I would have had a heart attack!
The perfect murder!
This is me thinking I am all on my own!
BTW @louannwarren kindly posted the full article in the discussion forum about the reasearch into daily photo taking, thanks Lou Ann.
Three good things:
1. Gus is the softest purriest cat ever!
2. I managed to write a formal letter on the computer. I am quite up with stuff generally, I have taught myself by trial & error but actually doing proper office work is not my forte at all. I needed to look professional today.
3. Yellow tulips
Well that's given me an early morning laugh.. the things we do when we think no one is watching... love yellow tulips must get some more to plant for the spring..
I love this. The house is gorgeous and I did laugh at the story.
I love the colours they have used...quite like ours in family space and we have different colours on the walls too. Restful and beautiful.
Technology is amazing too isn't it!
Pat such a gorgeous house , and perfect setting for grandma to play with Gus I had to smile when you discovered that "Big Brother " was watching you -- I hope you were behaving -- hee hee !!!
@julzmaioro@sarah19@louannwarren I thought it funny too, but was thinking what did I actually do there, was I picking my nose?😩 This is temporary furniture still Sallie, saving up for proper big sofa & a nice rug etc!
@huvesaker Cathy bought that footstool at a Country Living fair in Glasgow. She was at a podiatry convention next door & they let them in free. She carried that footstool together with her podiatry bag, overnight case & shoulder bag all the way home on the train. Well worth it as she & hubby fight over it!
@beryl ha ha the first thing I though of Beryl, trying to think back! Yes they love their new kitchen, not furnished as they would like yet but saving up for new sofa etc plus place for woodburner in the corner nearest where camera is.
They are very computer orientated to set this up! I'll have to see if we can do the same at home with our Japanese family! I know you are cuddling this cute kitten with great love (one for you too?)!
@maggiemae Yes Jack lives his tech stuff. It's lovely fir him to be able to join in any occasion, if it's at the right time of day that is. We had a walk & meal last Sunday while Will & Erin were visiting so Jack could join in the chat. I wondered if he might make him homesick but it doesn't seem to.
Ha ha what a lovely story. Good job you weren't meeting your boyfriend secretly isn't it, ha ha. You can run but you can't hide.
I am sure Gus really appreciated you dropping in to see him
