I tried to do my 10,000 steps today. No B&B in for a week so thought I would shape myself & get out for a walk.
I enjoyed it once I had set off!
Over the fields to the Cartford Inn, into the village & then back. 9,696 steps altogether!
Three good things:
1. I called into one of the many new build houses going up round the village. Looked at a show house which was very nice but my word it would take a bit of getting used to for me & Harry.
2. We are minding our daughters young cat. I'm going after our evening meal to sit with Gus for a bit of company. He is very young to be left on his own still.
3. I liked the footprints in the mud in the above photo.
Ha no I didn't have to walk in this mud. I was down along side as there were cows on the other side of the bank so I dropped down so they wouldn't see me. Of course I'm not one bit frightened of cattle but know they are very nosy so didn't want them all snuffling & shoving behind me. I got quite a few photos that will put me on in a quiet photo time!
I have heard that cows are often more dangerous than a bull! These rivers must be tidal for all that mud. There is a river called the Wye isn't there? Not just Wyre? My goal is 3000 steps so you must be a lot stronger!
@maggiemae This is our river Wyre that borders what used to be our farm maggie & you are right it us tidal flowing in & out at Fleetwood. This is a river Wye too but lots further south than here. I had no problem with my 10.000 steps & enjoyed the walk except I was desperate for the loo when I got back! Looking round the show homes I was thinking shall I use one of theirs but the crafty lot had put folded towels on the lid!
