We have had a lovely afternoon in the Lake District today.
Such a beautiful day & we needed some new clothes pegs so a trip to Lakeland Plastics in Windermere was called for.
I think the world & his family had the same idea as us, everywhere was really busy so we couldn't get into the proper car park but went on to Grasmere & parked in the village.
Along the bottom Loughrigg Terrace, across the bridge & back along the other side of Rydal Water.
A visit to some of our old b&bs who live in Grasmere then home again.
This dog was loving running along the top of this waterfall after sticks!
Three good things:
1. Such beautiful countryside on our doorstep.
2. Could have been summer it was so warm.
3. A lovely Skype with little grandsons on holiday in Mount Maunganui NZ.
@brennieb Was a lovely day Brenda spoilt slightly because I think I got caught by speed camera, near home too! Will have to keep fingers crossed I was too far away but only me on the road so all cameras on me!
Nice to see such calm waters here. You would have had a good walk in this area - up to your 10000! You probably will get a ticket! The cameras don't miss a trick!
@maggiemae I think it's highly likely Maggie, will let you know! I'm surprised I have not been caught before as I do tend to drive a bit fast on occasion!
Must be good clothes pegs... I struggle to find the best ones as we have such strong winds at times the washing ends up on the ground .. Though the last ones I got from 'FArm Source' .. seem to be doing the trick..
This is a lovely shot .. Sounds like a good outing ..
@julzmaioro Lakeland pegs are the best Julz! That's the very reason why we went for some more, the windy season is coming so I want my washing to stay on the line! Good pegs are a must!
@susiemc We had coffee & toasted fruit loaf in the cafe part! One plate would have done us as there were two massive slices each & not enough butter for my liking!
This is a lovely shot .. Sounds like a good outing ..
My brother in law used to live at Mount Maunganui before he moved to Australia.
