I remember seeing the roast chestnut carts in Preston, I can smell that lovely smell now!
As I don't go into town much now I'm not sure if they still sell them in the winter. Parched peas was another winter delicacy you could buy, so many eating places everywhere but you can't beat the old treats.
Three good things:
1. Harry caught his first mole this year!
2. Really good cobwebbers.
3. I found two unopened bottles of sherry & one 2006 bottle of white wine under the stairs! They all look fine! I think the sherry might be going to the Christmas raffles!
That really made me smile! Love a roasted chestnut too, absolutely yummy. Well done to Harry on the mole - they plague my mum in law in her garden and it drives her nuts!!
Love the colours and focus
