Princes Street Edinburgh

Our last night in Edinburgh before we caught our train home.
It was the first night of the Christmas Market & quite handy for us to spend an hour walking round the stalls as it was right next to Waverley train station.

Couldn’t help but flinch as we watched this fairground ride as it rose up to quite a height. They mus5 have measured the distance from the Scots Memorial as the passengers legs were flying out as they went round & round.
Not my cup of tea!

Three good things:
1. Fabulous weather for our weekend away.
2. We booked train seats in the quiet coach but about five passengers were quite merry after a day in Edinburgh, they took no notice of the rules but all got off at Carlisle! Didn’t mind the noise but disliked the smell of beer!
3. Nice to be met off the train by family.
A colourful image. Sounds like a lovely break away.

Glad you had such a lovely time. It's a very interesting city and lots to see. Gets incredibly busy and expensive at Festival time in August.

Lovely night scene. Not so sure I would be brave enough to have a ride on the fairground ride though.
