My two lovely youngest grandsons can open their Advent calendars tonight our time.
December 1st when they wake up thirteen hours ahead of us.
This is their faces when the parcel arrived a couple of weeks ago.
Three good things:
1. So glad I haven’t got to travel by rail to work, lousy service in the UK & prices gone up again today! Not acceptable!
2. I have collected the book I ordered from the library. My Name is Leon by Kit De Waal.
3. The Christmas tree is delivered, we’ve put it in the shed for now.
I used to love giving our kids advent calendars. What a lovely shot this is. I thought of you today as we filled up with diesel at the garage of our mutual friends. Didn't see them today though.
@jamibann Ah that’s a shame, Jo & Barry would be delighted to meet you sometime I’m sure! I’m so glad I have grandkids young enough to enjoy the Adbent calendars, mind you we don’t have to be young to enjoy a little piece of chocolate behind an opening door! Your turn will come hopefully one day!
@beryl I think they were looking forward to some good old Cadbury’s chocolate, doesn’t taste quite the same in NZ. @gijsje Thank you Bep! @susiemc ah thank you so much Sue, sweet of you to say that, I do too of course! @julzmaioro Shot out of bed I expect! @carolmw Thanks Carol! @huvesaker yes a parcel is exciting, I think they would guess what was in there! @Dawn Thanks Dawn....too far away though!
You are a smart grandmama, getting identical Advent Calendars! I wonder why your rail prices are increasing? The cost of fuel? Perhaps to fund upgrades?
@louannwarren goes up every year Lou Ann but service gets worse, slow trains, cancelled trains, drivers on strike, people standing up all the way, it’s a nightmare! Yesterday was the day new fares announced!
@gijsje Thank you Bep!
@susiemc ah thank you so much Sue, sweet of you to say that, I do too of course!
@julzmaioro Shot out of bed I expect!
@carolmw Thanks Carol!

@Dawn Thanks Dawn....too far away though!
