A day trip today with the Brock Belles, a younger version of the Women’s Institute.
Last year we went to Chatsworth House but this years trip was to Castle Howard.
The house was beautifully decorated as you will see in the photos I will post over next few days.
Daughter Cathy & I had a lovely day together, a real treat for us to spend a whole day together.
No outside Christmas market like last year but it actually didn’t matter as the day was wet.
Three good things:
1. Got the real Christmas feeling after our day out!
2. So many beautiful trees all lit up.
3. A new bauble for the tree, a sweet French hen.
@huvesaker Thanks Boo, the trees are so lovely aren’t they, they were everywhere all lit up. It’s been a long day today but sitting warm by the fire tonight.

@beryl Thanks Beryl, it was nice to be able to have a proper chat, Cathy works so hard but we im shattered tonight as I’m sure she is. Commenting limited tonight!
@brennieb It was lovely Brenda but not as nice as Chatsworth last year. The rooms here were beautiful with massive open fires but no outside Christmas market with singing, brass band etc. Was damp & drizzly but if it had been frosty & dry we would have been more disappointed. Missing that buzz of festive season but the outside trees were Wonderful, loads of them w erywher.
