I met my friend Dot today for lunch. She has been away on holiday so we have lots to catch up with.
She took the opportunity while her daughter & family were in Australia visiting her sister & family.
Some of you may remember Dots grandson Charlie who had the brain tumour.
Such high hopes after he came back from his Proton Beam therapy but unfortunately his last brain scan showed it’s possible return but this time on the outside of his brain stem.
Another MRI on the 25th July then five days awful wait before they get the result.
Puts our house problems firmly at the back of the queue!
Three good things:
1. I met up with my ex DIL this afternoon, she is over from NZ for her brothers 40th birthday. She looked very well.
2. More stuff to the charity shop.
3. Fuel in the oil tank but an air lock in the Aga...thank goodness it’s warm & we can do without it.
Update it lit!
A lovely catch up with your friend. Will remember her grandson in my prayers, Pat. We have a new grandson born two weeks ago and they've only just decided on a name!
I kept looking for the dog !! Nice for all the catching ups !?! ,So sorry re the latest news on Charlie - lets hope the results of the MRI scan will not be too devastating ! Yes indeed it puts everything else in perspective !:)
Nice to have met up with Dot .. have been wandering about little Charlie .. praying for better news from his scan .. certainly does put things in perspective..
Nice place for a meal -looks clean and welcoming. Do I see on the blackboard "Mutt's Menu"? And is fillet steak for a mutt?
Ongoing stress for Charlie's family - I guess they are prepared. Its been a fight.
Funny to see you say 'exDIL' - had to think for a moment!
Nice to meet up with friends. Wondered where the doggy was. So sorry to hear about Charlie, hoping for a good report from the MRI and perhaps some kind of treatment that will get him well.
