We’ve been to Garstang today but forgot to get my camera out even though it was market day.....I seem distracted at the moment! I searched the house for the carpet sweeper yesterday but no sign of it....asked Harry because he had it last...there it was were it always lives!
This photo was taken at the machinery auction near Kendal.
There is nothing a farmer likes better than a good old chin wag!
Three good things:
1. A good offer from one of our b&bers.
2. A visit to a friend in the nursing home today found him in good spirits & as good as we’ve seen him in ages.
3. Lunch out.
Just popping out tonight to a planning meeting, back later!
Ha ha ! decent rear ends -- the braces avoiding him showing an indecent builder's bum !!
Sorry to hear that your preoccupied brain couldn't locate the sweeper ! I thought perhaps you had binned it !!
Does No 1 mean an offer on the house ?
@beryl I wish Beryl, no but he wants to rent it for as long as it’s available. He stays up here fit work, three times this week but sometimes only twice, away abroad a lot...he’s not in now fir a couple of weeks. Means he can bring his motor bike, cook his own meals & family come up now & again. We are thinking about it but will no doubt agree...we like him lots & will be very adaptable re timing & viewings.
I know it well too. We went to Granny's yesterday with Connor wearing his wellies as we couldn't find his shoes. Got him some new ones when we got to Tain (Tesco to the rescue!) And Allan found them in the wee guys bedroom when he walked in after work!!!
Encouraging offer....😊
The rent offer sounds financially good but would he have to know that the whole place might sell? i don't have any trouble finding the sweeper - our place is so small there is hardly any room for anything!
We can’t see for looking sometimes! I bet you’re loving having the boys stay....it’s lovely you get to see so much of them. Yes offer worth thinking about but I just want to get the place sold! Frustratingly we head today that the probate is off the bungalow. We shall buy it but no money to start alterations!
@maggiemae Yes he knows all the details maggie, he’s been staying here fir a year or two now. He knows it might only be for a couple of months but could be longer. He travels a lot so it would be let on a month by month basis.
@onewing Well when we sell this one it depends on the length of time before the builder can start on ours Babs, if it’s only a month or so we will still rent but could move into bungalow for longer....it has an apricot bath & no shower so not that keen!! 😳
@lyndamcg Our house is in two parts Lynda, the hLf we live in & the half our son & family lived in before they went to NZ. It’s all one house but in two parts. We have rented out the other half for ten years but now it’s fir sale as a whole or which ever suits buyers best. The b&b man wants to rent empty part. I would prefer not to as I’m thinking it might sell next week...ha ha but in reality would be silly not to. He’s very adaptable & fully knows the situation. I think he will come back after talking to wife & he will decide not...a lot if work if it’s only for a few months!

@snowy @jamibann @dide @louannwarren
Now that probate is off the house will you move straight in instead of renting?
Oh I do that too as Ray is prone to tidying stuff up, sometimes when you are about to use it!
