One mans rubbish is another mans treasure! by happypat

One mans rubbish is another mans treasure!

We brought these coping stones from our other farm when we moved here twenty years ago.
We’ve used a few of them on the top of our new brick wall but these have been lying in a corner of the field.
Now we are moving we have to move them. We’ve been in touch with two reclamation yards but they aren’t interested.
I decided to advertise them free on our local sales pages.
I chap who’s building his own house is coming for them tomorrow! He’s delighted & we get to be rid of them!

Three good things:
1. It’s going to be cooler tomorrow they say!
2. Finished my paint touching up job.
3. Lots of thunder & lightening but thankfully now passed over.
So pleased for you that someone has seen their worth ! and you get rid of them ! It's been so-o-o hot today - no storm here to cool it down and I have the fan going on full blast here !

The removal itself is worth the effort of the advertising! Your weather is making the news!

@maggiemae Yes that’s what we thought, we have no means of moving it so better someone else do it!

I am sure they will be put to good use. This afternoon we are having our wooden retaining wall replaced with a stone one. The original wall is finally on its way out after over 20 years.

Those are fabulous stones, Pat. I know the new owner was thrilled to come across your advertisement. Brilliant outcome for both of you. Isn't moving/downsizing exhausting? So happy that cooler weather is heading your way. The few cooler days we've had here have been a blessed relief.
