I nearly missed seeing these mushrooms in the field. If anyone remembers Henry the sheep they were near his old hut.
Harry normally mows this field with his vintage tractor & mower but the mower is sadly sold now as we were under offer....too early as it happens as we could do with it back now! It could do with a mow, the grass is quite long!
Mushrooms will be very nice with our bacon & eggs!
Three good things:
1. Our NZ grandson Max is nine years old today!
2. A lazy day! Still coughing!
3. I had half an hour on 365 this afternoon catching up with commenting!
Well they look like good eaters.. didnt get any this yearAutumn was too dry.. pity about the mower.. Harry would of been enjoying taking Fergy for a run.. Happy birthday again Max..
Ooh Pat , what a lovely find - - nothing like a fresh field mushroom with your bacon and eggs ! What a shame the tractor and mower have been sold - Harry would have loved getting Henry's field in shape again ! Good idea to take it easy while you are still under the weather with the cold/cough , this summer cold does take its time ! Doesn't time fly with Max being nine today - I wish him a Happy Birthday !
@beryl Thank you Beryl. Harry still has the tractor...he would never ever sell that! The long grass is beginning to bother him but I think he’s going to ask our neighbour to mow it with his new ride on! Nicely spotted and captured. My cough lingered on for months, went through several medications and doctor visits. Best to follow up with a doctor since it is still lingering on.
If you can stomach it, thyme tea is great for a cough. Just a little dried thyme infused into hot water (I like honey in it too!) and sip it. Thymol is the compound in there that acts like a salbutamol inhaler and opens up the passages in the lungs.
Nice find in the field. The next people can mow the lawn!

Thank you for your kind comments re cough. I might just try that thyme recipe Casablanca.... try anything although it’s getting easier each day thank goodness! Just the remains of my cold which went straight to my chest, cough definitely looser this morning!
@onewing No we haven’t Skyped yet, I have seen a couple of videos of him on the fancy new lightweight scooter but time is not kind to skype during the week on a school day!
Oh, of course I remember your charming Henry. He was such a wonderful subject for your photography. My heart sank the day you posted news of sweet Henry's death. Take care of your dear self, Pat. That cold/cough needs to go!!
@peggysirk Thank you dear Peggy...I feel I am beating it today....Cough is much looser & I have more energy! I can’t remember the last time I had a cold so can’t grumble! Yes poor Henry, such a sweet sheep, so glad he is remembered!
