A very windy day.... Harry volunteered to try & hang the washing out.
I really missed a great shot here as Paul the window cleaner came & I looked out of the window & they were both struggling with a sheet! By the time I got myself organised they had given up!
Three good things:
1. Trainer socks, they don’t show above the shoe but keep your feet warm & trainers fresh!
2. Catch up TV.
3. I actually caught up with my ironing!
@beryl Yes Beryl, he really likes hanging the washing out, we fight over it sometimes! 🙄. I like the sheets folded just right in the line as I can bring them in just ready to iron.
@brennieb No I agree, Harry does not peg too carefully so sometimes the pegs leave marks on the edges. No one wants peg marks on their better going out clothes! 😳
Sheets are a contention on the best way to hang out! I like to get the ends together and peg them on either end. Easy to fold. I can get John to help which is best. If they gave up what did the sheets do?
@maggiemae I like to hang them like that too maggie...so much easier to fold. The only time I separate them is if it’s a really bad drying day & they wouldn’t dry two layers together. The sheets were beaten into submission don’t worry....they do as they’re told!🤣
I prefer sheets that have been dried on the line, but sadly, I do not have a line here. It would probably have to be re-washed at any rate. Good for Harry to pitch in and help.
Great shot and well done Harry. Hope we have some warm breezy days for the holiday clothes when we got home. Glad I left everything neat and tidy before we left!
What a fun shot. I find that John always hangs out the washing in a weird way ... never quite how I do it! Or how I want it. However, best to say nothing, I've learned!
David put our washing out this morning because I had left for my keep fit class before it had finished. It was a calm day but he still puts far too many pegs on each piece of washing. Why do you need four pegs on a towel? I didn't complain because he does work well under instruction and at least he did put the washing out even though it took me twice as long to unpeg everything later this afternoon when the washing was dry. ha ha
