Next doors hens come round every day & eat under our bird table & then even though there is water out they come & disgrace themselves by drinking out of the drain by the back door.
Three good things:
1. A gorgeous Bank Holiday Saturday, we sat in the garden reading.
2. Cathy came & did my feet before I go away.
3. Tractor Pulling on the Show field in the village
A big weekend for Great Eccleston with hundreds descending to watch the massive tractors doing their stuff.
Guy Martin is here doing some filming & he’s going to have a go on one of the big tractors.
Harry is going tomorrow.
Good they clean up under the bird feeder .. they clearly are not fussy by drinking the drain water .. Good to hear you got good weather for the long weekend l.. Just had to google Guy Martin .. celebrity in your mitts..
Two lovely looking chicks ! Good that they come to clean up under the bird feeder - The wood pigeons do it here ! Lots going on around your village Pat , and having good weather for it ! Too hot for me - I just flake out in the heat !!

Yes Guy Martin is an attraction but no one seemed to know what day he was appearing....very healthy hens Beryl....hope it cools down fir you tomorrow!

I remember you saying Guy Martin was at Invercargill Maggie & I’m sure he will remember you at your own ‘do’ but I’m not going today to tractor pulling & I doubt I would get near him even if I was, think he might be a bit surrounded plus he will be in the bit that out of bounds to general public... safety reasons for one . There will be thousands there today! Must try & find out when hi bit will be on TV. Our neighbours run the event & I usually have B&B but had to say no this year, funny if I missed him as a guest.....well not funny I would be cross. We were under offer at the time so thought we wouldn’t be here!
