We had a little walk to the Cork gaol, part of a deal at our hotel.
We got afternoon tea when we arrived, a three course meal, a tour round the Butter mountain museum & lastly a tour round the gaol.
We enjoyed all of them.
It was quite a walk along the river Lee but a lovely morning & we saw the non touristy side of Cork which is always good.
Three good things:
1. Our neighbour came back from hospital early so Harry off duty tonight.
2. As an appreciation of his minding she had ordered & printed off two tickets for the Westmorland Show we always go to next week. So thoughtful!
3. I have taken my elderly friends, DIL’s parents to the walk in centre at Blackpool for ear syringe. Preparation for fitting of new hearing aids next week.
What s cute and colourful corner shop.. sounds like a great walking tour..
Good to hear Harry was appreciated for his job..
And im sure you were as well for helping your friends out.
Such a quirky little corner shop ! Such a steep hill ! - I don't think my scooter would manage that !!
Two tickets to the show - such a nice gesture of appreciation !
@sangwann Oh small world. We stayed at the hotel in front of the Shandon Bells & church. We walked from there to the gaol so was quite a stretch. We visited St Anne’s Church the morning we left but didn’t climb the tower partly because of time but mostly because our legs were tired after our walk. We visited the butter museum too free tickets from the hotel. I found that interesting being a retired dairy farmer!!
Good to hear Harry was appreciated for his job..

Harry is such a conscientious and helpful neighbor...quite deserving of the ‘thank you’ tickets!
