John on the left is a regular b&b visitor who comes to stay with us three times a year.
His friend Tony picked him up this morning in this vintage car. They are both vintage car enthusiasts & John himself has a similar model which he brings up from his home near London on his May visit.
Much enthusiastic chat this morning on the merits of this car!
Three good things:
1. I had made an appointment at the garage to take my car in this morning to investigate a very irritating rattle. Not surprisingly there wasn’t a sound this morning as I drove there...typical!
2. Our DIL is on her way from NZ.
3. I remembered to buy a light bulb for the utility room. No more groping about in the dark!
One thing to keep blokes occupied for ages is an old car.. Austin or Morris.. I learnt to drive in a smaller similar model.. Austin 1100..
Our friends funeral today and the family drove his 1974 falcon thst they have gor around 40 years.. V8 ..
Adoration! (I am not into cars but grateful right now that Ray has bought me an automatic which helps with my osteoarthritis in my left hip - quite convenient!)
A bleak scene with the looming clouds and the trees bear of leaves - but not bleak for the men as they seem to be in their elements admiring and discussing the merit of the car . Sod's law that the car behaved without a rattle today !!

Sorry I'm just catching up after a few days in the west.
