Frosty start

Woke up this morning to a cold & frosty day.
Lovely blue skies & no wind, I have just been outside now at 6.50pm to get in a bit of washing & it feels really wintry....love these changing seasons! Darker nights too as our hour changed this last weekend.
You can see our eight visiting sheep pasturing in our field!

Three good things:
1. Harry went for a load of firewood....we deliberately left stocking up this year in case we had moved but no such luck!
2. Our DILs dad who had to be taken into hospital pretty much as soon as she arrived is able to go home tonight.
3. Nice long shoe laces!
Do you know where to buy purple shoelaces?! It looks cold!

I love these changing seasons too. We came home late after a family visit and had to deal with fog banks.

Oh that does look a bit chilly .. but nice to get sunshine with it .. Hope Lesleys Dad recoups quickly at home.. Shame you had to restock the firewood .. We got 3 ute loads out of the garden pruning the other day .. so will dry out over summer ready for next year .. just have to build a new wood shed as the roof blew off the currant one ..Farmers jobs are never done..

An empty veggie plot here too - its difficult not knowing! You have got a nice view over the misty valley! Do you have to stack all your wood yourselves?

Ground frost here too this morning a surprise - after all that rain we had ! Certainly winter is on the way especially now we have changed the clocks back .I must confess I do feel some cosiness in the darker evening . .

That's beautiful....the blue sky days and clear frosty moments are pretty spectacular.
Glad Lesley's dad able to get home especially while she is here. That's the downside of having far flung families.

@julzmaioro That’s what we though Julz...we have been burning stuff from fields but need some nice dry stuff for winter proper. Only got one trailer load to be going on with.

Brrr this looks cold. I am not a fan of cold weather but it does look rather nice, especially when I don't have to live in it, ha ha.

@quietpurplehaze Just Google 'purple shoe laces' and you will find lots of places where you can buy them in the UK.

I like winter too - a good time to have lots of early nights all in a row! What a nuisance having to get fire wood in again.
