I washed the luggage tag off my suitcase, it was looking rather grubby.
I took my odd lengthed trousers back & as I thought Caroline from Dreams of Garstang came up trumps & refunded the whole of my money. Don’t forget I bought those trousers two years ago so I think it was a generous thing to do.
We came to the conclusion that as they did two lengths, Capri & full length that they matched the legs wrong.
Well as I had a refund I proceeded to spend the refund & a bit more besides! New traveling trousers from the sale _ a lovely soft top for wearing on the plane...layering which is what you need!
Three good things:
1. Obliging shop owners.
2. All packed up except for last minute stuff.
3. We mislaid something today so I checked on the notice board where we stuck anything g important p. Good job I looked as I saw the two car tax renewal firms....due at the end of October we have both been driving around for five days untaxed! If I hadn’t noticed Harry would surely have been caught while I was away!
I expect you are getting a bit nervous as well as excited about your upcoming travel!
Good to have a notice board - I had one once made out of cork - it had so many postcards on it, it just about fell down!

@maggiemae Well once you start packing it becomes real although I never want to go anywhere just before, if someone said don’t go I wouldn’t! Ok once I set off! Yes that’s a thought, the other odd legs might be matched up! 🤣🤣

I know about things not matching! I actually wore odd shoes (new) to my sister's wedding!! One was very dark navy patent leather and the other was black. They had another pair just like them when I took them back!! Not so straight forward with trouser legs though.
@sarah19@beryl I was so pleased when she said she would let me have my money back....I didn’t expect all of it & was happy to have an exchange but there weren’t any my size. Yes all set for off, we have friends staying tomorrow night & the night after, they come 3very year fir a folk concert...unfortunately I can’t go this year but the other five are going. Have asked them to change their bed before they go on Saturday...Harry not a brilliant bed maker!
I do think at our age that when going with someone we know makes confidence happen! When on your own you have to deal with difficulties all by yourself - good if you can but you never know. However, having a mobile is a good support mechanism!
I love when a clerk is kind when I return something. I always have the receipt, which is very important for most stores. Invariably I too end up spending the return amount plus some more. I really like your luggage tag.
