Back home again yesterday after a lovely & sunny visit to New Zealand.
The first time I have been in their Springtime so was interesting to see this time of the year in the farming calendar.
On the Sunday before I started for home on Tuesday we went to an old haunt Raglan.
A potter round the shops in this very surfing oriented town then fish & chips on the wharf.
Thank you for all the comments you kindly gave me on my very infrequent postings, hopefully back to normal now!
Three good things:
1. We have bought a Christmas tree today & it’s a false one at that!!
We had some money from generous gift vouchers from our local garden centre so we thought now is the time! Easier & ready lit so not so much hassle putting it up then taking it down!
2. Probate has come off the bungalow we are buying....it’s been a very long haul!
3. Electric blankets! Woke up at some unearthly hour with jet lag, got up did the b& b breakfast & then back to bed with the electric blanket on until 11am.....bliss!
Good to know you have landed back home and nice to know you're not going to have a long wait to see them all again.
Hope the jet lag doesn't take too long to clear off!!
I love Raglan with all its beach and riverside areas, coffee bars and even a fresh bread station! Wouldn't mind shifting there! Good that Probate has been granted - shame you have no buyers!
A lovely scene. Good to know you are home safely. You will be able to start working on your new house now. Hope your current house sells soon too and you can be fully on your way.
