Lovely countryside on our walk yesterday afternoon.
Our SIL knows lots of different walks in our home county of Lancashire & also in the Lake District.
Harry & I sometimes say we’ll have a walk but can never think of where to go so it’s fantastic when we get the phone call ‘do you fancy a walk?’
Two cars gives more choice too as we can leave one at either end.
The hill in the distance topped by trees is Beacon Fell. Before we moved here 20 years ago our three kids went to school at the bottom of that hill.
Three good things:
Caught up with lots of jobs today.
1. Got the accounts ready for the accountant.
2. Did some ironing that had been in the basket since before I went to NZ.
3. Made Midnight Chicken from my new recipe book.
A beautiful landscape on a beautifully sunny Winter's day . Love the sky reflected on the still water !You have had a busy day -- I am intrigued with your Midnight Chicken recipe !
@beryl A new book called Midnight Chicken by Ella Risbridger. It’s a sort of story of her life plus recipes. The midnight chicken has a sort of garlic & herb rub on it , was tasty. A very dash of this, nob of this type book! If you google midnight chicken the recipe comes up because I did it in Booths to see the ingredients.
Gorgeous view with the blue sky.
Good to find interesting alternative routes for walking and good company adds to the event.
New recipe sounds delicious too.
