I was waiting for Harry inside Bettys cake shop when I took this shot.
Tried to take a photo of the Yorkshire Pikelets which are a sort of flat crumpet or muffin.
By far the more interesting view was of the reflections & street view through the window.
Three good things:
1.I have been to the cinema today to see 1917.
An excellent film we though, you are on the edge of your seat the whole time.
2. Lindt salted chocolate & caramel....lovely big squares when you break one off!
3. I have just started a book by Frank Gardner, the journalist in the wheelchair.....I can tell I’m going to enjoy it!
Lovely photo and so much interest. I love the chocolate too and one square is enough.
My Mum has been interested in Frank Gardner too and I bought a book last time I was up. She was right into it that weekend and had read three chapters while I was there. The details of his experience in chapter one were pretty awful but she stuck with it!! I'm not sure how much more she has read- she's had quite a lot of visitors. A few health issues at the moment but she's doing okay.
Have to seek out a recipe for yorkshire picklets .. look good .. nice inside view.. On the list for FG and I to go and see 1917 .. we went and saw 'Cats' the other night and really enjoyed it .. although it has been getting some pretty mixed reviews .. I think if you had not seen the stage show you may not like it .. Makeup amazing ..
@julzmaioro You & FG will love1917....all done in one take I believe! Not seen Cats...not sure if I fancy that. Have been asked to go to a cinema showing of Chicago at end of April, think I might go to that!
@sarah19 The book is called Crisis Sallie, I am only on chapter three but looking promising. Glad mum keeps fairly well...she is a marvel but interested in life is the answer...faith too of course!
@beryl Loads of nice cakes....expensive though...can’t believe the price if shop bought cakes these days.....good job we aren’t tempted these days....except for anything in Choux pastry that is!
