Those far distant hills...

Just a quick upload for today so no need to comment.

I forgot to post earlier....too many good programmes on the TV!

I walked down the lane & into our neighbour Janets field hoping to catch her for a 2 metre chat!

I cooked a roast pork dinner today...a glass of wine....sort of remembering it’s a Sunday!
So lovely to look across the "green , green grass of home " Pat ! and nice to see some hills in the distance . We also had a roast pork dinner today -- so difficult to remember which day of the week it is as each day seems to merge into the other with nothing to look forward to !! Ah ! well it can not last forever !

@beryl I agree Beryl. One thing I've done is wear something different from the wardrobe every day! Just for a change.
This field looks just right for galloping across on a white charger!

We had a lovely sunny day, had a nice chat with our next door neighbour, telephone calls from our daughters. "Busy" day...

Hmmm 2 metre chats are frowned upon Pat, it is so difficult.

A lovely view for sure

@beryl beryl , i think we are going to be in lockdown for a long time, social distancing is here to stay for a very long time, the world is going to be very different !

@phil_howcroft I thought two metre chats were OK Phil? Social distancing?

@happypat If it is a light blouse, Pat, I put on a warm singlet with sleeves. Invariably I get too hot at this time of year. The sun still has a lot of warmth!

Sounds like a pleasant day

No problem isolating here.

Nice to look out on an expanse of green. I think what @phil_howcroft is alluding to is that outdoors is only supposed to be for exercise and they have been breaking up people gathering for chats, sunbathing and picnics. Hard, isn't it? I think it is all about intent and where you are.

A quiet and pleasant scene

@happypat @casablanca Pat , Casa' , it is very difficult, when I have walked / exercised Ruby , I have stopped briefly at a distance for a "how are you , stay safe" , 30 seconds or 1 minute chat with people I know, we are not meant to stand around chatting at distance. It's for our own safety, it's been stressed "only go out for food, medicine, work or exercise". It's not nice , I've not seen my daughters since 14 March, even thought they live locally. We are going to be doing this for a long time !

@casablanca @phil_howcroft Yes I see what you mean & wouldn’t stand in the street chatting but don’t think it applies much to this area as Janets house is just to the left of here...she sits in her conservatory & we shout! 😀😃. Hard to get the feeling across of how quiet it is here! We count our blessings everyday!
