Well Lane.... nearly home! by happypat

Well Lane.... nearly home!

As you walk up the hill I showed you yesterday, over the brow & turn right into our little haven.
You only have to walk ten steps & it’s a different world.
You can hear the birds sing!

The lane turns to the right where you can see the white house which happens to be ours.

I walked to the village again, bought some sausages & fruit & veg at the Little Veg Shop.

There wasn’t much social distancing down Well Lane this afternoon.

Our neighbours across in the barn....one of the angels that did our shopping...they have rare breed sheep.
They came across to tell us one of the sheep was lambing but they couldn’t catch it & the lamb was dead.
Another neighbour Janet, Harry & the family caught it & Harry lambed a live lamb.
They did all get a bit near each other!

Three good things:
1. Swopping jigsaws.
2. Dandelions.
3. Smiles from complete strangers!

Don’t forget the clapping tonight!
What a nice lane to walk on. I know you must be loving the move you made.

Good to walk. And also good to help neighbours with lambing when needed....what else could one do?
Hope you are all fine anyway. XX

A nice lane to walk reminds me of Tom Jones - The green green grass of home , especially " The old house stands the same ,tho the paint is cracking & dry,
And there is an old oak tree that I used to play ,
Down the Lane I walk with my sweet Mary ,
Hair of gold and lips of cherries ,
Its good t touch the green ,green, grass of home ! Nice to be able yo act in a neighbourly way Pat !

I should think the last thing on anyone's mind was social distances. How great to have such nice neighbours. Your little spot looks lovely.

We have lovely neighbours next door...2 houses at Vignouse. The N are at the road end...whilst we are further along the lane...and beyond our garden, there are fields, planted for grain. Superbly calm. Meantime, we know all the neighbours across the field. A bash is planned for us all...when all the current brouhaha gives way to life as we prefer to know it.

We tend to forget about time distances too. Still in bed with some face-times - glad I didn't have my rollers in! lol!

What a lovely path, and an exciting story to read about the lamb!

Lovely place for some exercise. Once you go out and meet people it is very difficult to keep a safe distance. At least you are allowed to go out, we aren't. And there's a hefty fine if we do and are caught.
