I quite enjoy our daily walks now. I was on my own today as Harry was mowing grass. He does enough steps doing that without going for walks too.
Our house is behind the trees.
I have to apologise for anyone who took offence at yesterday’s photo.
I was stupid to put it up! I must remember this is a photography project & not a daily diary.
We live three miles away from the nearest shop & don’t always feel like walking so very kindly our daughter has been doing some shopping for us.
Instead of talking through the window as normal we decided to sit for a short time in the garden suitable apart from each other.
I wasn’t going to mention it but for our daughters sake, who was mortified as she’s been so careful about going out, I felt I must explain.
We have only been out twice for important reasons over the lockdown period except for our walks.
Nothing wrong to keeping to the 2m rule whether on your own property or in town ( safer I should say ) so don't let anyone upset you ! Nice open country side here - with not a soul in sight ! glad you enjoyed your walk - so cold here today and had showers this morning ! Keep smiling and keep safe Pat xx
We live on the edge of Paimpont Forest and although it's across the field in front of our house, it's 10-15 mins trot/drag depending on how hot it is and/or Mitzi's inclination. Whilst this walk fits into the 1hr per day allowance for being away from home, it's becoming too familiar for us both. Ho hum...we’re fortunate to be able to walk in Paimpont Forest.
Perhaps just as well. We can only visit friends or relatives if we are in a double bubble. One bubble is tied to another.
Nice flat walk and out in the fresh air must be good!
I didn't see that image Pat, and wouldn't have thought anything about it. However, I understand your anxiety. I had a similar thought process before posting my photo today - as we walked a little further than we perhaps should have yesterday, although we broke no rules, and certainly did not put ourselves or anyone else at risk. My old boss used to say 'Issi, rules are for guidance ...'. It's a funny old time though, and although it brings a lot of people together and encourages camaraderie, it can also bring out the worst in people. In our rural area, I know of a Dutch woman who lives in a very remote area, who drove down to the nearest village (Crathie) to drop something off. She said she had been away from her car for 5 minutes, and came back to a 'go home' sticker on the windscreen. That seemed to me to be ridiculous! Keep smiling, Pat.
Nothing to apologise as far as I know. You are lucky that you can go out and walk here. Apart from the fact that we could get a hefty fine if caught, our area is inhabited and we cannot risk going out. My daily exercise is on a bike we have in the washroom.
When the sun is shining, and we are safe and well in our own homes it's easy to forget the enormity of what is going on around us. It's less easy to forget if you have a close family member working on the front line, who is dealing with this virus daily.
Nice shot.

Thank you all for your kind comments!
