House by the canal

I always like this house built right up to the Lancaster Canal.

Three good things:
1. I set off to go to the village for some bread & a good walk to stretch my legs. I ended up calling on a friend, sat in the garden & had coffee & cake...so much for exercise!
2. The friend has made me a lovely red gingham mask.
3. Harry dug up the first of our new potatoes!
What a great view. Well done on the new potatoes Harry!

Such a lovely image ,- Fav I love how you have framed the scene with the overhanging branches . What a lovely spot to live -- so tranquil by the canal ! Well done Harry - so nice to have early new potatoes !

Oh, Yum for your meal! It would be nice to sit on the lawn of that house in a garden chair with a book!

I can imagine why you like this lovely house. We also had new potatoes tonight, bought them in a greengrocer's shop in a neighbour village. We don't have a vegetable garden.

I used to love houses with water views, now I wonder if they get flooded.

@onewing Ha ha no you don’t......I think it looks pretty but in real life I might not like that water near me! I am not a water person!

Beautiful scene and capture. My son when in UK lived across the road to a canal and I really enjoyed going for walks along the canal every time I had a chance.

My mouth is watering over the new spuds. We have a few self set in the garden that may come to something, even tough it’s winter.
