On a mission.... by happypat

On a mission....

Our neighbours hens have a very strict routine.
You can almost tell the time of the day by their movements!
This one was on a mission to get its tea under the bird table. Closely followed by its mate they come round almost to the quarter of an hour every day at the same time!
Lots of other times too....morning, noon & night some days but the afternoon feed is by appointment!

Three good things:
1. A fresher day but still hot...I sat & read my book in the sun.
2. Lovely birthday photos from NZ of the birthday boy & all the exciting things they enjoyed during the day.
3. Our own lettuce.
Hilarious, are you feeding them? We had a huge thunderstorm this morning, loads of rain thankfully, no sitting outside till this afternoon, and not really sitting outside weather

Not many people realise what personalities chickens have! A great image of her striding out to get where she needs to go in time.

@dide She meant business Dianne. Can’t really portray here how she was marching along.

That is just too funny. And of course, we don't have those strict routines! :- )

Hens are much underrated ;-) They keep on doing what they've always done...and we enjoy the benefits.
