Going round with the watering can.... by happypat

Going round with the watering can....

As we don’t have many flowers growing in our garden we have quite a few tubs & stone troughs. This is an old cow water trough & it stands at the beginning of our drive.
We are beginning to pick out what we want to take with us or leave behind.

This is not the best side of the flowers, they are leaning the other way but I wanted to get the side of the house in.

Three good things:
1. Flat white peaches.
2. Someone tried to gazump our buyers today, we said NO.
3. The Saturday papers...so much to read!
Lovely scene

Very pretty love the colourful trough at the beginning of your drive and the neat and tidy look of it all ! Such a hard job in knowing what to tale with you especially as you have not got a place yet ! Hope your search will be fruitful soon and you find a place you really like !

Very pretty Pat. We had a terrible weather day. Rain all morning and dull this afternoon. Glad your move is still moving forward

pretty

A lovely image, I love your home in the background and those gorgeous flowers in the foreground. It’s so hard to sort for a move!

I looked up the word gazump and it has a definite meaning! It also implies cheating and fraud so you were right to say, no! You can hardly take this great big trough but it makes the whole area here so pretty!

@beryl Well that’s another story Beryl that’s too complicated to go into here but will sort it soon!

well done on rejecting the gazumpers , nice photo too

Well done rejecting the gazumpers. We don't get gazumping here the system is different and once you have signed that is it. I think it is different in the UK as it is only once the money has been exchanged that it is legal.
Have you found a new house yet?

@phil_howcroft We couldn’t do it Phil....such a lovely couple Looking forward to moving here. Good to have them in the background though!

@onewing it’s a useless system here Babs, nothing is safe until we’ve all signed on dotted line usually two months down the line! It’s a very stressful process! Third time lucky here we hope! Looking at a couple now but will be decided this week hopefully.

Such a stressful time...you don’t need gazumping on top of it all

Your place is quite scenic
August 16th, 2020
Such a pretty scene! Gazumping seems like a terrible thing to happen to a buyer! It sounds very stressful!

Lovely colour. Fingers crossed you can find what you like.

So beautiful and peaceful looking. Well done for saying no to the gazumpers! Horrible practice and so disappointing for people who think all is well. Proud of you!

@casablanca Aw thank you....we couldn’t have lived with ourselves if we had done it....sadly all too common I believe & the other way too when buyers bring up a problem at the last minute & reduce the price...I pray that doesn’t happen to us!

I love this colorful shot with the beautiful blue sky.

As I write this, Ray is deep in the Sunday paper! I like white peaches but don't get why they have to be grown donut shape - or indeed understand how it is done!
August 16th, 2020
Beautiful flowers. You must have a lovely house. Pity you are moving.
August 16th, 2020
Lovely place and lovely flowers.
August 16th, 2020
@quietpurplehaze No nor me Hazel...you can buy the proper round ones any time now but the season is short sadly, I have no idea why they are donut shaped.

@sangwann We don’t want to move either but this house is far too big & expensive for us to run...it makes sense to move but we have to have a smaller house but plenty of space round us still, all within a mile from where we live now...not easy I can tell you!!
We have seven bedrooms & five bathrooms here!😨
