Getting things ship shape!

As well as having our bonfire yesterday our nephew came & moved a few stone troughs we wanted to keep.
You can see him in his tractor busy tidying up....we couldn’t have done without him!

Three good things:
1. Yesterday was outside day but this afternoon I packed all my china off the dresser. Three boxes full....I did wonder if I will put it all back in the new kitchen but at least I can decide later.
2. This morning I went to stand outside the church for a funeral of a class mate of my son & son in law. So many people standing out side In the pouring rain to pay their respects...I’m sure Jane would have been amazed & touched...Covid has had such a terrible effect mentally on lots of people....along side all this the community pulls together & is there to support.
3. So glad we had our bonfire yesterday, it’s absolutely poured down all day.
Your kutchen will be looking a bit bare without all your China.. Sad when you can't mourn as you would of done pre covid...Good to have some younger help with shifting the big stuff looks like he has the right gear.

@julzmaioro I was shocked how many boxes it’s taken to pack it all away Julz...thinking to myself will I want it all up in my new modern house....might leave the top off & do without all the blue & white but at least I can decide when the time comes!

Ooh so busy Pat - but a good feel when each task is completed ! Your dresser will looks so empty till the move ! So sad when you can not attend funerals like we used to -- but you did the next best thing .
Such a horrible day here too -- rain non stop all day !

I like that you've captured the fire as well as the tractor, and the grass is so green........!

@beryl @busylady Harry has a jug in his hand that had some diesel in it to get the fire going! Yes the grass is very green....it’s not been mown for weeks so it could do with some sheep on it. Graham said he will bring some if the new owners want him to.

Oh I don't envy you packing and moving house. We have moved 16 times and had 3 international moves. You will need rather a lot of quiet time once you are in your new house.

that's quite a bonfire Pat, I like harry being in the photo too

Haven't got the facts about your move yet, Pat. You say only temporarily. Where else are you going? The rain would do a good dampening on this great bonfire. Men love building fires!

So sad about your son's friend. We have to enjoy each day we are given the best way we can! Can't wait to see your new house 👀

@maggiemae
We are moving into our doer up bungalow until 10th January Maggie. Just taking a few essentials such as bed, table a couple of chairs etc. We then move out into a holiday cottage in the village until April while place is fully renovated. It’s quite exciting but I will be glad when it’s over!
@lyndamcg
House is not a pretty sight at the moment but will post before & after photos when we get the keys.
@onewing
We won’t have much to do for the winter Babs so can take things easy then.

Your property looks huge, at least by our standards. No wonder you are moving to a smaller one. I like your photo showing both men busy.

Lovely Men at Work shot. So much to do before your move but it will all be over soon

You are really doing well with your big job moving. I always loved your photos with your blue china, so it’s good you will take it all and review what you decide to keep later. It is nice your nephew was able to help.
