I walked through the village this morning & the Christmas trees above every shop were being put in place.
It always look s very Christmassy when they are all lit....a bit of hope this year.
This is my nieces hairdressing salon which of course is closed during lockdown.
Three good things:
1. More vaccine good news!
2. Much better step numbers today on my Fitbit.
3. What’s App contact with family. We have used it so much this year.
So good to have something positive to look forward to - and nice to have some trees and lights around - I am itching to seek out my Christmas decorations but am restraining myself -- Gary will get them down from the attic at the end of the month !

I have one measly white tree with lights to put up this year...everything else is packed away! Will be enough this year! @julzmaioro They aren’t lit up yet but will take a photo when they are!
@maggiemae Every shop has a small one in a bracket above the door maggie! Also a big one in the square all lit up....all supplied by the County Council.
Christmas this year will be very different I am sure. I hope the shopkeepers can recoup some of the money lost during lockdown in the last burst at the beginning of December.
Lovely and hopeful. WhatsApp is brilliant. We use it all the time too. I hope your niece will get her shop opened again soon and that she'll be able to make up for some of her lost revenue before Christmas.
Lovely and, at least, makes the this year's Christmas less dull. So sorry to see so many shops closed because of lockdown or because of lack of business during these hard times. We are preparing the house for Christmas but with much less enthusiasm than in other years.
Must go out and see if they have started putting ours up yet! They usually do it at night when the roads are quieter. Can't get my head round Christmas this year. Wish we knew what as happening then I could plan. We have lunch booked but there will be four houses so don't think that will happen!!
