Three good things:
1. I have spent a lot of time today using my new secateurs on the remaining brambles that are still growing up through the remaining shrubs. We have a large camellia just coming into flower so it was good to pull out the brambles the gardeners have left, cut them up small & fill a green bin.
2. So much warmer today, I walked to the village late afternoon & didn’t need my hat!
3. I uploaded or is it downloaded a tree & flower app that identifies the names, I managed to find one that was free!
Nise shot of a very homely looking shop ! So much milder today Pat , , a nice day to be tidying and wielding your secateurs !!! You will certainly enjoy your garden Pat !
looks like a great place Pat. You need some donkeys they love munching on brambles. There is a brilliant plant ID app called Plantnet - hasn't let me down yet.
@jantan That’s the one I’ve got Jan....I uploaded two others but then after the first free week it was nearly £20 a year! I deleted those & Plantnet seems perfect! Donkeys love brambles, my word they must have rubber mouths! Treasures in a garden!
This Image is not helping my diet, true to form I am peering into the cake chiller!
I have a great app called SEEK. It identifies plants and insects. It is not always 100% accurate as named Saski as a domestic guinea pig (it was taken from above in fairness and she is the same colour with a docked tail). It is good fun and generally gets it right!
@beryl Yes I have never been a gardener Beryl but I think I will enjoy this one. It will take a long time to get it as we want it but it will look nice anyway. More trees & shrubs....
Thank you all, your comments are much appreciated....I think you would all like a mooch round here. There is a handmade jewellery designer there too....all family run.
Nice! And I love that you're able to do some gardening. Our Camellia is still under wraps or we may have lost it after all the snow and bitter east wind.
Brambles are a nightmare. We have some at the fence at the bottom of the garden and they grow into the neighbours garden....not good for small children as rather prickly!!
Such a lovely shop! Looks full of awesome things. So glad you found a plant app that you like. I've been using Picture This, but after using so many free IDs it's now requiring a $29/yr subscription. I'll give Plantnet a try.
@peggysirk unless you’re really into gardening I call that excessive Peggy! Plantnet seems to be good although it’s a bit early to use it here as nothing much is out yet.
