I think there must have been over fifty dogs walking past our doorway today!
It seems to be a short cut from the village over the main road to the footpaths over the fields.
This is Connie’s preferred walk, straight over the main road at the bottom of this lane & off her lead sniffing & snuffing!
These two massive St Bernard dogs walked past this morning, Connie happened to be visiting & said hello.
Three good things:
1. We visited the bungalow this morning & it was good to get ideas I hadn’t thought of from Cathy. They made sense.
2. A parcel from Amazon taken in by a neighbour!
3. Sitting out in the courtyard this afternoon reading...so many people to say hello as they pass by.
I hope the owners always clear up after their dogs. Sorry, I’ve now removed my grumpy face, it’s just that there’s a lane near us which goes to the river and everyone with a dog seems to walk down this lane and it’s disgusting.
@susiemc Well they all seem to be in leads Sue & I haven’t seen anything I shouldn’t so far. I think most will save it for the proper dog walk across the road..there us a bin at the end of here.
Reaĺly was a 'heavy traffic' area with those two beauties walking past.. Connie would of looked tiny compared .. Good to have some other eyes give you ideas that know you so well..
Those two dogs wouldn't be racing down this lane - rather slow because of their size. Glad they don't leave anything though - that can be rather huge. I've gone off dogs because you have to clean up after them all the time!
We have a lot of short cut paths here too from houses to the beach and luckily everyone with dogs always take their droppings home with them. We never see rubbish or litter on beaches either everyone is so well behaved.
@jamibann wow I never noticed that but you’re right....they must love those dogs! I’m not really a dog person but love our own of course...it took me a bit to get used to poo bags I must say!
Having so many dogs go by would be such a challenge for Watson, he would expect every dog and its person to come and greet him and voices his invitations rather loudly and plaintively. I am sure my neighbors would not approve...heck, I don’t approve!
