I feel I should know the name of these flowers but I can’t think of it. I used my plant identifier but it gives me several names I don’t recognise.
They are out in abundance all along the country lanes.
I took this photo with Connie’s lead over my arm...the rate she moves at I did well to get in focus!
Three good things:
1. We have been to the wood burner place but still haven’t decided definitely which one but have narrowed it down to a couple.
2. I’ve been to vote in local elections.
3. The builders have built the roof overhang in front of the bifold doors....I can sit under it like the lady of leisure I shall be!
Isn't it lovely to see the wildflowers coming into bloom along the hedgerows I think it is the Stitchwort , or the Greater Stitchwort , - so pretty on its slender stems ! but not a wild anemone - the stems are different !!
@casablanca That sounds about right Casa....I have a choice here of Adders Meat, Marsh Stitchwort, Creeping Sandwort, Field Chickweed, Grasslike Starwort & Alpine Mouse Ear.....yours sounds the one we are familiar with!
I don't know their name but have seen them about in abundance. There are also some lovely blue flowers, and some yellow flowers in the woods. I need to learn their names!
I believe what you have there is stitchwort, Pat. The NC mountains were full of the yellow cousin - ragwort - such a harsh sounding name for a delicate flower...even if it is a weed.
