Fishergate Preston. by happypat

Fishergate Preston.

This is the main shopping street in Preston.
Quiet isn’t it?
I can remember in years gone by when you were pretty much shoulder to shoulder with other shoppers. Those days sadly gone although I must say I picked it at a very quiet moment & it was much busier than this.
The trees are all lit up when it goes dark so it’s quite pretty.
Only busses & I think taxis are allowed to drive down this street.

Three good things:
1. A good walk in the cold to the chemist…..I like this weather.
2. A good list of Christmas books in the paper today.
3. Our daily photo or video of our great granddaughter in NZ……Nina loves music & can really get the beat!
A nicely captured street scene, certainly very quiet

Looks like the Christmas lights are up there to ready for the switch on! How lovely to receive a picture of your great granddaughter every day.

So few people around - I wonder how all the high street shops will survive.

They are very good sending a daily photo of your great granddaughter! You won't miss a thing! Very English scene here - no verandahs!

It does look quiet considering it is coming up to Christmas. Maybe people are buying online these days.

@maggiemae We don’t have verandas Maggie, in the summer you get a pull out blind occasionally.

Nice capture and I agree our shopping centres are much quieter these days, I'm guilty of doing my shopping on line these days.
