Cumbrian winter sheep by happypat

Cumbrian winter sheep

These sheep were eating out of the trough quite happily…..not too muddy or wet underfoot & mild weather so far this winter.

Three good things:
1. I have been & bought 40 new clothes hangers ready to sort out our new storage facilities.
2. I had a referral for my problem hip today. I looked at the X-ray result & turns out the doctor thinks I don’t need a new hip at all. He said my X-ray results looked better than his & good for my age. Given my some instructions & booked me in for physio.
3. If I had needed a new hip I was expecting to have to wait for at least four years …..not so he said… four months!! I was surprised!
Good news on the hip Pat..I did my wardrobes again the day..first put stuff in the new ones ,just get stuff back in. So had to a day.redoing and by colour. Have a bag for the charity shop too!

@brennieb I plan to do that tomorrow Brennie, colour coded, now that’s an idea! I aim to be simple & nothing packed to tight…..I think you call it a capsule wardrobe….a big one though!!

Good news about the hip!! I too would have been sceptical about a four month wait!
Nice sheep shot!

A lovely rural scene with the sheep more interested in you than in the trough of feed ! good in B/W .Why don't you enter it in the b/w month composition - tag--FOR2022
Good news re your hip Pat -- keep going with what you have for as long as possible !!!!!!!

@carole_sandford Well it’s completely different to what I heard but perhaps they are catching up round our way! I do admit I know a couple of hip ops recently.

@beryl That’s what I thought Beryl….I do t want an op if I don’t need one. He mentioned a steroid injection if needed but that would be a one off.

Awesome b/w

Hubby would say, all that walking - no good for hips! One never knows. He very seldom walks anywhere and is in no need of any replacement whereas friends who do lots of serious walking have had hip replacements and knee replacements. Another friend whose wife drags him off for a daily walk, has had 3 hip replacements!

Look at the faces on them! Great news about the hip.

@maggiemae You could be right maggie. It’s only since I started walking longer walks instead of just being busy on the farm. Still walking but shorter bursts. On the other hand I’m not walking up three flights of stairs so it’s a mystery. Probably just wear & tear & age! We shall see how it goes!

Beautiful shot. They sheep are well 'dressed' for the cold. Well done in b&w.

Turning this to b&w has really brought the focus onto the sheep.

Glad your hip doesn't need replacing. Hopefully the physio will sort you out.
