Weaving

Hurdles look very natural when used as fencing. Our daughter has a few in their garden but unfortunately they only seem to last about five years before they start rotting but lovely while they last.

Three good things:
1. Heated car seats.
2. Watching the curling at the Winter Olympics.
3. I have been sorting out the paperwork storage. We gave away our filing chest as it was too big so I’ve had the bills etc in a plastic box. All sorted & in a drawer in the sideboard.
Such a clever thing, a wonderful skill

A very nice craft to break up areas of the garden.

What a great craft to be able to do but a pity it doesn't last longer.

Would look lovely in the garden.. Our English neighbour's area king willow fences in their garden but putting the cutting and weaving it as it grows.. I guess there is a name for this .. it's looking great.
Heated seats are the best.. pity they don't have a chill option for summer.

I think hurdles are very attractive.

@julzmaioro Ha ha Julz, we never need a chill option!

@casablanca @busylady @pamknowler @dide

Very country looking & a softer look in the garden…..I like them very much.

@beryl I’m not satisfied with the way the paperwork is sorted really Beryl as they are just in a drawer but I will research smaller filing systems one I find how much space we have once spare room is finished.

That is some serious weaving

Great shot of this rural craft. I'm sure we could be doing with some of this in our garden, in particular around our gas tank - the recent storms did away with our lightweight wooden fencing and now we'll have to replace it with something!

@jamibann This stuff is very attractive Issi, would look nice in your garden. Nor sure if it would stand lots of wind though.

Lovely tones and textures. We've been through the hurdle fencing lark. It's bog-standard panels for us now!

fabulous story telling pat, I like this

Shame the hurdles don't last longer as they're so attractive.

Great textures and patterns.

Oh that looks like a wonderful fence for a garden. Isn’t it crazy how much paper we have to keep?!

What a great fence

We have a guy in our area that does willow weaving around whatever. Its still around after some years but don't really know. I do know that it continues to grow even as a woven fence.

These fences look a lot sturdier than the plastic type! I love car seat heaters!

Nice shot

@maggiemae Our son in laws starts to disintegrate after about five years maggie… it might sprout a bit but I have never seen it….I think we have a colder & damper climate than you do so yours might last longer. Cathy & Garth have a pergola made of it & their fence round outside of garden is partly this & hedge.

@louannwarren Far too much! I think half ours could go out now but daren't just yet….Sods law if we get rid some tax official will ask us something & have to produce paperwork. 😨

Lovely shot. A lot of work which disappears in a short time. Pity because it is so nice and natural.

Nice to see these old crafts haven't quite disappeared

Oh that is beautiful. Perhaps that is what we need here as our patio fence was blown badly by Storm Arwen and we haven't really made an effort to do anything at the moment. Thinking the whole patio area could do with a revamp!!
