This was rather a lovely entrance to the market in Stockbridge.
It’s not the exact picture I would have liked as there was a white transit van parked with flashing lights just to the left right in front of the gates. I waited a bit but it didn’t move.
We walked down the steps & along the little walkway.
The markets are on every Sunday & it looks like it’s more a farmers market with lovely local produce.
I alway love going to the Sunday morning farmers markets in New Zealand, this sounds like one of them.
Three good things:
1. Next door have planted a tree halfway down the garden on their side! The only gap where we can see over…the shrubs I planted are a bit off getting high enough. They are sun worshippers & like to sit out sunbathing.
2. A lovely afternoon reading in the sun.
3. Our grandson William in NZ has been presented with his third medal for nine years service in the volunteer fire service. He loves it & is always keen to go out on any call. The fire service in NZ covers many emergencies in every field. We are very proud of him.
What a grand archway to the market ! - love the way the produce are named in the stone ! We have a proper market in Wellington inside and outside stall I haven't been down but I believe they are really pulling all stoppers out to improve and make the market more popular with even cafe section with quite a few outlets !
@julzmaioro Yes! Perfectly decent but more like seaside attire! They are a lovely couple & we get on great but every time we go down the garden I have to make sure I don’t look over when I walk past the bit where we can see over! 🤣 hope the tree grows quick….ha ha. It’s only a small gap…
This will be here in another 100 years - wonder if there will be markets there then! Our low hedge - I can't help seeing the neighbours but interestingly enough never see them looking at our property!
