I bought this vase last week. Loved its pattern & shape but it does not hold water well so I’ve been hunting for an artificial flower to put in it.
Would really have like a cow parsley style one but this was the best I could do.
I do quite like it as it’s simple & I think suits it.
I have been to the pictures this afternoon to see The Devil Wears Prada.
Cathy saw it but said I really needed to see the first one so she downloaded it for me. Dot watched it again too.
We enjoyed it very much although as usual I missed half the words but could follow it.
The TV one had subtitles so was far more enjoyable.
Slow loading again tonight but our technical expert Jack is coming tonight so solutions I hope.
Totally with you there! Unless the cinema has a subtitle showing, it is pretty much wasted on me these days. Slow loading for 365 for me again tonight, but not on other websites.....
I have quite a few of the same books on my shelf as you! Exact same copy of the The Hobbit and the Beatrix Potter. We have the Diddly Squat, Salt Path and quite a number of the others. Spotted Thora Hird up there - ah, she was a gem!
Gorgeous vase.. There are some good fake flowers around now.. This one looks good but no harm to keep looking and switch them around.. Never saw the 1st TDWP so may have to check that out 1st..
Good to see a NZ book there.
@casablanca Same here all other sites no problem but 365 very slow again. Makes it hard work commenting. Cathy says there are subtitle versions available sometimes in the cinema but nit sure if a hearing person would want to see words on the screen. I can actually hear the sound OK mostly but can’t tell what they say.
There are many lovely artificial flowers now, you will find just the ones you want. Our movies play so loud I actually have to turn my hearing aids down.

We recently watched the original Devil Wears Prada, not sure if I’m bothered about a new one.
A lovely vase.
