Hawkshead. by happypat

Hawkshead.

Hawkshead village lies west of Lake Windermere & just north of Esthwaite Water.
It is one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District with many of the buildings dating from the 17th century.
A lively place most of the year it has small interesting shops & a high pub population ratio.
The land around it is mostly owned by the National Trust & there are some fantastic walks.
A beautiful part of the world and a beautiful photo. Such a lovely sky and its not raining!

@bpaquette Takes just over an hour Barbara but very narrow lanes to get there. We once had some friends from the USA staying & they drove over the ferry to Hawkshead & couldn't get over the twisty narrow lanes to get there!!
