Wonderful --I love visiting and seeing such items in museums and the like -- a great way to look back on our social history and in some cases reminisce of articles of childhood !!
Love the old wringer my granny had one but by the time I was little we had one that fitted between a double sink in the kitchen. I can remember catching the sheets as they came through. As good as a spin but lots more work. Brought back good memories. It's a bit scary when we remember museum items!!
Like @kelly2 said mum had one, but I can remember her wringing sheets out by hand and the way it snaked up her arm so brilliantly. It was as if she could wring more water out than the mangle ever did!
