Total Hip Replacement X-Ray by harbie

Total Hip Replacement X-Ray

I thought this was so interesting! This is my x ray from after my Total Hip Replacement surgery. They also had to repair a tendon of one of the hip muscles. I am doing well. I walked a couple of times with the walker and have been sitting in a chair for meals. Should be able to go home Wednesday morning. Thank you for all your kind wishes.
So glad all is going so well

Oh my goodness! I missed all of this! I have heard that hip surgery has been perfected unlike knee surgery. I hope all goes well and you have a very speedy recovery! How did you know you needed the surgery? Pain when you walked? I only thought you needed it if you fell and broke it! An interesting x-ray!

@gardenfolk. CC, I had a knee replacement 2 years ago due to osteoarthritis from a skiing injury when I was 15. I didn't anticipate a hip replacement but OA developed pretty quickly after my knee replacement. I think my body wasn't used to being in such good alignment. I didn't have much pain during the day with the hip but had a good deal of pain at night. Had a lot of trouble sleeping. When they went in there to do the replacement, there was a lot of issues. Hopefully everything will be good. The hip replacement has been a piece of cake compared to the knee. So much less pain. The hardest thing is to remember for 6 weeks you can't bend more than 90 deg. Thank you for the good wishes!
